1. Be your authentic self

When we meet someone for the first time, we usually put on a facade and show our good side. It’s only when that friendship grows that we feel comfortable being vulnerable and showing our true selves in front of our friends. True friendship begins when we gather the courage to show who we really are and take that friendship forward. “Share your thoughts and opinions openly with your friends,” says Dr Chibber.

Sometimes when we give feedback to others, our tone becomes rude and we start sounding too critical. Always remember the fact that not everyone takes criticism equally. If you have a sensitive friend, try to be sensitive about the words you use to convey feedback. In other words, always try and give constructive feedback. Be aware of the impact your words and actions have on your friend, says an expert.

3. Always be there

Be there when your friend needs your support. Give advice that is fair and will help your friend in the long run. Our life sometimes faces a rough situation.
