Evening exercise works on mood and upper body
For exercises between 6:30 and 8:30 p.m., female participants in this group had better success in increasing upper body strength, power, and endurance.
In terms of body composition, women who exercised in the evening also experienced a reduction in total body fat, but this was slightly less than women who exercised in the morning.
Instead, they had better success in overall muscle growth, which is useful to keep in mind when looking at fitness goals. A study found that evening exercise improved upper body muscle function and improved mood.
For men, evening exercisers experienced similar changes in body composition as the morning fitness group, but evening exercise resulted in a more significant drop in blood pressure.
